Business Challenge

  • Required vendor with expertise on Z-Wave to identify and migrate to new Z-Wave module in safety devices (Smoke & CO) as existing module came to an End-of-Life (EOL)
  • Lack of Z-Wave capabilities to develop new firmware for the Z-Wave section along with leveraging existing hardware and firmware for the Smoke and CO detection section
  • Solution for mass production test jig at their manufacturing facility

  • Developed the test jigs for radio module and EOL testing at client’s factory
    • Flashing and Serialization scripts for production
  • Unit and integration test plan, test cases
    • Device commissioning, Smoke detection, CO detection, Silent/ Test alarm, Battery test, LED test, RF Range test
  • Functional, integration and regression testing with test reports
  • Z-Wave Plus self-certification and pre-compliance with accredited test-house
  • Final Z-Wave Plus certification with required documentation
