  • Unstable communication between transceivers (transmitter and receiver), SFP+ (small form-factor pluggable plus) and host system
    • Client’s product being a part of their solution to a large networking OEM, the device needs to seamlessly communicate on high frequencies without any I2C failure affecting their customer experience

  • Identified multiple failure scenarios in existing devices  
  • Integrated the I2C driver to run on all frequency (range between 100KHz and 400KHZ) and I2C modes without any data loss
  • Developed firmware for reliable communication between the transceivers, SFP+ and host system
  • Verified the device using an automated test setup for all frequency and modes
  • Performed SI (Signal Integrity) analysis
  • Prepared design document from code (reverse engineered) for better understanding of software architecture for developers in future
